Making Media, a subject that from the first weeks of studying, I wanted to drop it just because I thought if I didn't have enough modern technology equipment it would be impossible to complete this course in a proper way. However, I completely changed my mind after 12 weeks of studying

I still remember vividly between the first and second week, I had a tough time finding teammates. An introvert person like me, I just think about sitting still and waiting for any group that was still lacking members to join. But, I don't know why there was an invisible ability that pushed me to spend two whole days just looking for teammates. I sent texts to all the students in my class, but almost everyone was a step ahead of me. Most of the students had already formed groups as they were mostly second year students. All 3 members of my group are newbies and to be honest, in the beginning, I wanted to leave the group because I didn't believe in the working capacity of each member. A whole bunch of questions kept popping up in my mind: How would I manage if one of my 3 team members was lazy, avoiding work or constantly pushing work for the others?

The podcast was our first assessment. After the virtual meeting, we completed the topic, brainstorming ideas and assigned roles for each member. The main theme was “Eating clean” and as the obesity guest role, I spent about two nights finishing my script. After all the team members also completed their own monologue, we had a lot of meetings afterwards to tailor it in order to mix with each character and the podcast duration. This part seemed to be simple, but it took the most time because everyone wanted to keep their own lines. However, I suggested that “Our podcast is only 4-5 minutes long, if everyone wanted to keep all their lines without removing redundant , the podcast would not be complete.". After that, all the members omitted and reconsidered each person's dialogue. The next part was recording and editing audio. Continuing with the late night meetings to record the audio with the highest efficiency. During the recording process, everyone also revised the script together to fit the allotted time. In the audio editing part, Ngoc and I were the two main editors. This part took me two sleepless nights. I realized that Ngoc was a master at editing audio. And the result was higher than we thought, which was HD. After this assessment was completed, I realized that when you put all your efforts into something, you will get a worthy result.

Magazine was our Assessment 2. This assignment did not seem to have to talk or move much. Only sit back and edit both magazines and photos. However, it was only when I actually started working, then I realized how boring it was. I remembered that after finishing cooking and photographed all the dishes, I was so tired that I was not ready to move with the photo editing and magazine making steps. It took a while to get inspired to continue the work afterwards. Moving to the photo editing section and incorporating them into the magazine's template. I realized from the beginning that editing photos was not my strength. I invested the most time and effort in this part, but it was true that photo editing was not my passion. No matter how hard I tried, it only took lots of time and effort. But it was better than nothing. I finished editing the photo in 4 hours with 10 photos that, for me, they looked acceptable. Finally, my group produced 3 magazine versions and we decided to take Duyen's magazine to submit. After clicking the submit button for this exercise, I realized that there was something that I did not like or even it was not my strength, I still got through it. Therefore, I will stop underestimating myself and emerge myself into new things to figure out different personal talents.

The last task was Portfolio Website Creation. IN my own website, I would attach all the collaborative group tasks including podcasts and a magazine. Additionally, I also wrote several blogs to share my feelings and helpful tips relating to the Making Media course and a checked art collection. I fully understood that this website would become a plus point for my CV which will bring me more opportunities for researching dream jobs.
