Audacity, Anchor, Garage Band, etc. These are examples of audio editing apps that I am typically going to study in the third week of Making Media class because our first assessment was team podcast production

Beginning class with the over-viewing of several free audio recording devices and software that combine the multifaceted function. Our Teacher, Mr. Johnathan mentioned: “Due to the Covid restriction, he precisely understood that meeting face to face to complete the group audio record was impossible. Hence, he would try to go over all of the audio recording techniques or apps in order to support us to have the best recording product quality. At the outset, he taught us about the key functions and some tips for sound recording. For example: When you are recording audio, it's critically important to have a decent pair of quality headphones to monitor sound. Or to get a high-quality recording, we should record in a silent place or even record in a blanket. Our teacher equally said: "Although you can eliminate noise in the audio editing part, you guys should try to minimize the noise while you are recording. This will reduce your editing time and make your podcast production better". Next, Mr. Johnathan introduced several common free platforms for team records such as zoom, Teams or Anchor, etc. These websites will bring the most effective products for group recording purposes.

Moving to the second part, which is audio editing. First, our professor introduced the websites that provide free audio editing which include Audacity, GarageBand, etc. Since Audacity is the most popular and easiest to use, he showed us lots of methods such as noise reduction, compress audio, how to limiter effects to reduce spikes, etc. This is my favorite part of the class that day because I want to sign up for a course relating to audio editing and record a pretty long time ago. This class which has helped me broaden my understanding of audio editing, creating podcasts and maybe soft skills that will support me for my future career.

Last but not least, in order to make the podcast process become more fluent and convenient, my team and I often have online video calls to come up with ideas and also rehearse the script that we completed. Besides, I have to complete my personal website with personal journals. I actually don't worry too much about my own blogging, but only about the design and decoration of the website to make it catchy

To sum up, in this 3rd week, although it was a bit tiring and stressful, I, myself, tried very hard to balance between studying and self-care efficiency. I hope that students, who are in the running deadlines week will still keep a comfortable and clear mind to complete the assessments with the most productive and high achieved.
